City of Herculaneum Joachim Avenue – New South Alignment

Client: City of Herculaneum

Cochran performed the surveying, design, bidding documents, construction administration and inspection for a new concrete roadway and bridge for the new south alignment of Joachim Avenue in the City of Herculaneum.  The project included 23 acres of clearing and grubbing; 5,000 cy of unclassified excavation; 193,000 cy of fill roadway embankment; 9,700 sy concrete pavement; a 343’ long bridge with pre-stressed concrete bulb-tee girders and corral curb; street lights; seed and straw; and pavement striping.  Since this project was federally funded, all construction documents were required to meet standards for project delivery as outlined in MoDOT’s Local Public Agency (LPA) manual.
