Scenic Drive Phase 2 Improvements – STP-5403(660)

CMV-Cochran partnered with the City of Herculaneum to improve Scenic Drive through a federally funded roadway rehabilitation project designed to enhance safety, accessibility, and the overall character of the corridor. The project modernized critical transportation infrastructure while creating a more inviting and pedestrian-friendly streetscape for residents and visitors.

CMV-Cochran provided comprehensive project delivery services, including funding application assistance, surveying, engineering design, bidding documents, and construction inspection in accordance with MoDOT Local Public Agency (LPA) requirements. The improvements included full-depth concrete pavement replacement, storm sewer installation, ADA-compliant ramps, six-foot-wide sidewalks, decorative street lighting, concrete curb and driveway approaches, stamped colored concrete, pedestrian fencing, street trees, sodding, and pavement striping.

A key component of the project was the development of multiple traffic control phasing plans to maintain traffic flow throughout construction and minimize disruption to the surrounding community. By carefully coordinating roadway, drainage, pedestrian, and aesthetic improvements, CMV-Cochran helped deliver a corridor that is safer, more functional, and visually appealing.
