Cochran was selected to provide civil design, survey, (boundary, platting & topography) and geotechnical services for this complex 160-acre project located along Missouri Route 54 in Lake Ozark, Missouri Design included acres of sanitary sewers, water main, stormwater, and utility design.
The project was challenged with cuts and fills of 65 to 100 feet, and geotechnical concerns of settlement due to the weight of the new fill, high plastic soil, uncontrolled rubble fill and excavation of rock.
Cochran’s geotechnical team recommendations included remediation of high plastic soil under floor slabs and footings, the use of the excavated rock as shot rock fill, monitoring of the settlement expected to occur under the weight of the new fill and building loads, slope stability, analysis for planned slopes up to 100 feet tall, foundation recommendations for shallow foundations, lateral earth pressures for planned below grade walls seismic design classification and pavement considerations.
Some of the tenants include – HyVee, Target, Lowes, Marshalls, Petco, Walgreens, JoAnn’s Fabrics, Ross Dress for Less, Outback Steakhouse, West Marine, Steak n Shake, Shoe Carnival, and Maurices.
