Cochran performed the surveying, civil design, bidding, construction administration, daily inspection, and materials testing services for this federal aid bridge realignment and replacement over the Meramec River in Pacific, Missouri. The Bend Bridge replacement project included the removal of the historic 422′ long “one lane” Bend Road Bridge (Hwy N), which was originally built in 1916.
The new bridge design consists of a 468’ long, 3-span continuous steel plate girder structure. Since this project was federally funded, all construction documents were required to meet standards for project delivery as outlined in MoDOT’s Local Public Agency (LPA) manual.
