Cochran was first established in Union, Missouri in 1959. We have since grown to five locations in Missouri serving Civil Engineering, Architecture and Survey needs in many industries. Our Farmington office is the newest to be added to the Cochran organization along with Wentzville, St. Louis and Osage Beach and serves the surrounding counties including St. Louis County, St. Charles County, Franklin County, St. Francois and Camden County.

David Christensen, P.E., MPPA is over our Farmington and Fenton office, he is a Vice President and Principal of Cochran and has overall responsibility for these two offices. He provides oversight for the Transportation Division along with specializing in engineering for Missouri Municipalities. Cochran also provides all Land Surveying services, plus Cochran has a Commercial Civil Division, Site Development, and Construction Testing & Inspection, Geotechnical & Environmental and Architecture Divisions. This allows us to fully assist our clients with their projects.

We work with new residential developments to provide the initial survey and geotechnical engineering and then can build conceptual layouts and a master plan for the site. Cochran also provides consulting services to Municipal governments for Municipal Buildings, drinking water, wastewater and stormwater management, pavement, roadways, bridges, sidewalks, streetscapes, parks and recreation. Institutional markets have their own set of requirements and Cochran has successfully met their needs which include educational facilities, financial buildings, healthcare, and senior living housing. Plus our vast experience working with industrial projects include not only manufacturing facilities but also entire industrial parks. We also work with each transportation system including bridges, roads, highways, streets, and sidewalks.
