Peruque Valley Park
Cochran partnered with the City of Wentzville to help bring Peruque Valley Park to life, creating a premier recreational destination that serves one of Missouri’s fastest-growing communities. Located along Peruque Creek, the park was designed to provide exceptional athletic facilities while preserving the site’s natural features and incorporating sustainable stormwater management practices.

Construction Testing & Inspection
As part of the project, Cochran provided value engineering, bidding assistance, construction management, materials testing, and inspection services. Through strategic value engineering and the use of multiple bid packages, our team helped the City reduce the project’s construction cost from an estimated $5.5 million to approximately $4.5 million — while enhancing the final design with a larger, fully heated and air-conditioned concession facility.
Constructing the park required careful planning due to its location within a floodplain and included the movement of more than 126,000 cubic yards of earth. The completed park features four baseball fields, three practice fields, an ADA-accessible concession and restroom building with a full-service kitchen, trail systems, rain gardens, wet pond stormwater features, and extensive site improvements that support both recreation and environmental stewardship.
