Water Main Extension to Birch Creek Estates

Cochran partnered with the City of Union to expand critical water infrastructure and provide reliable public water service to the Birch Creek Estates area. The project was designed to support community growth, improve system reliability, and enhance fire protection capabilities for current and future residents.

The project included the installation of approximately 2,130 linear feet of 10-inch PVC water main, along with associated fire hydrants, valves, and fittings. Cochran provided comprehensive services throughout the project lifecycle, including conceptual planning, topographic surveying, regulatory coordination, design, bidding assistance, construction administration, materials testing, inspection, and construction staking.
Our team managed all aspects of project development, including preparation of plans, specifications, bid documents, and Missouri Department of Natural Resources (DNR) approvals. By coordinating closely with City staff, contractors, and regulatory agencies, Cochran helped ensure the project was delivered efficiently and met the City’s long-term infrastructure objectives.

Constructed in 2018, the Birch Creek Estates Water Main Extension strengthened the City’s water distribution network, improved service capacity, and provided the infrastructure needed to support continued residential growth and community development.
