Water Storage Tank Improvements

Cochran partnered with Greene County Public Water Supply District No. 1 to enhance the performance, reliability, and water quality of its existing water storage infrastructure through targeted improvements to Water Storage Tank No. 2. The project was designed to optimize tank operations, improve system efficiency, and support the District’s commitment to delivering safe, dependable drinking water to its customers.

Improvements included replacement of the existing dedicated fill line with a larger-capacity 8-inch line, installation of a new tank mixing system to improve water circulation and maintain water quality, construction of a protective doghouse pipe enclosure, and installation of a removable silt plate to enhance maintenance and sediment management. The project also included exterior cleaning of the storage tank to extend the life of the structure and preserve its long-term functionality.

Cochran provided complete engineering services, including design, bidding assistance, and construction administration, ensuring the improvements were delivered efficiently and in accordance with the District’s operational goals. By modernizing critical components of the storage facility, the project improved system performance, strengthened water quality management, and helped maximize the value of existing infrastructure investments.
