Gist Road Bridge
Cochran worked with the City of Bridgeton to replace the existing Gist Road Bridge and improve the surrounding roadway. As a federally funded project, the worked required careful coordination, detailed engineering and adherence to MoDOT’s Local Public Agency (LPA) requirements from design through construction.
Cochran provided surveying, geotechnical services, hydraulic analysis, engineering design, construction administration and special inspection for the project. The new bridge is an 82-foot single-span structure utilizing efficient NU 35 prestressed concrete girders. The project also included removal of the existing bridge, excavation and embankment, asphalt pavement, concrete work, guardrail, rock blanket, traffic control and site restoration.
