Generator & Control Upgrades

Cochran partnered with Franklin County Public Water Supply District No. 3 to enhance the reliability and resilience of its water production facilities through a series of strategic generator and control system upgrades. The project was designed to strengthen the District’s ability to maintain uninterrupted water service during power outages and improve operational efficiency across multiple well sites.

The improvements included the installation of new backup power systems, control panels, and electrical switching equipment at several critical facilities throughout the District. Upgrades were completed at Well No. 1, Well No. 3, Well No. 8, and the Lake Serene facility, providing modernized controls and dependable emergency power capabilities to support continuous system operations.

Cochran provided comprehensive engineering services, including design, bidding assistance, and construction administration, while coordinating closely with District staff to ensure a seamless transition to the upgraded equipment. The improvements enhanced system reliability, reduced operational risks, and increased the District’s preparedness for emergency conditions.

Completed ahead of schedule in 2018, the project demonstrates Cochran’s commitment to helping utility providers invest in resilient infrastructure that protects essential services and ensures reliable water delivery for the communities they serve.
